Clark County to Celebrate Older Americans Day with Fair, Luncheon and Awards

United Senior Services (USS) invites the community to celebrate Clark County Older Americans Day Celebration on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the Clark County Fairgrounds – Arts & Crafts Building from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. This special event, held during Older Americans Month, will highlight this year’s theme: Flip the Script on Aging, which encourages a shift in how society perceives, talks about, and approaches aging, focusing on highlighting opportunities and contributions of older adults.

The day will kick off with the Senior Living Resource Fair at 9:30 AM, offering attendees the opportunity to explore essential services and programs available to older adults in Clark County. Local vendors and service providers will be available to share information, making this a valuable networking event for older adults and their families.

At 11:30 AM, the annual Older Americans Day Luncheon will begin, featuring live musical entertainment by The Corn Drinkers, door prizes and special awards. Guests will enjoy a catered lunch from Lee’s Chicken.

In conjunction with the celebration, USS is now accepting nominations for the USS 2025 Excellence in Leadership and Inspirational Service Awards. These awards recognize older adults in Clark County who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedicated service to their community. The deadline for nominations is April 18, 2025. To submit a nomination or obtain more details, please contact USS at info@ussohio.org.

Registration is $5 for USS members (payable by cash or check at the USS downtown location).

General public tickets are $7.50 and can be purchased online at www.usstickets.org.

The registration deadline is Friday, April 25.

This event is open to all and offers a wonderful opportunity to engage with the community and celebrate

the contributions of Clark County’s older residents. Join us as we honor and celebrate the older adults who make Clark County a stronger, more
vibrant community!  This luncheon is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Ferncliff Cemetery, Villa Springfield,

and Heartland Hospice.
