CHORE Lawncare
When taking care of things outside the house gets to be too much to handle, USS offers spring through fall help in partnership with Gillam Lawncare & Landscaping. The Chore Lawncare Service is designed to assist older adults who have difficulty with mowing and maintaining their lawns from May into September.
Sliding Pay Scale:
Because the demand is so high, there is a waiting list for this service. Clients are asked to contribute to the cost of the service according to their financial ability; however no one will be denied service because of inability to pay.
Open Enrollment
Medicare Open Enrollment is October 15th – December 7th
Are you retiring, turning 65, or interested in a reevaluation of your current Medicare plan coverage? Counseling is available by appointment throughout Medicare Open Enrollment each year at USS.
USS Benefits Counselors are available to assist those new to Medicare as well as those currently enrolled in Medicare and interested in reviewing alternative plans and benefits available during the open enrollment period. Counselors provide Medicare beneficiaries with free, objective health insurance information, one-on-one counseling, and education about Medicare, Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D), Medicare Advantage options, and Medicare supplement insurance. Contributions are gratefully accepted.
Tax Preparation
USS Offers Tax Preparation with AARP Each Year
USS partners with AARP to provide tax preparation appointments in our downtown and Enon centers for Clark County residents at the beginning of each calendar year. If you make an appointment, you will be required to provide miscellaneous identification and paperwork. This service is free of charge and available for ALL Clark County residents. Contributions are gratefully accepted.
