Meals On Wheels Drivers

Do you have a passion for making a real difference in the lives of older adults?  Join an organization that’s dedicated to helping our 55+ community stay active, engaged, and thriving. USS is looking for compassionate and reliable Meals-on-Wheels Drivers to join our team on an on-call basis.

As a Meals-on-Wheels Driver, you’ll be more than just a meal delivery driver: you’ll be a friendly face, a lifeline, and a vital part of a team that promotes wellness and connection. In this role, you’ll travel along a set route, ensuring each client receives a nutritious meal, a friendly check-in, and a moment of warmth in their day.  If you have a heart for helping others, strong communication skills, and a dependable vehicle, we’d love to have you on our team! Essential Duties:

• Load pre-packaged meals into personal vehicle and deliver meals to individual homes as assigned.
• Ensure meals are handled and stored properly during transport.
• Provide friendly, courteous interactions with clients.
• Assist clients with opening meals.
• Use proper food handling techniques.
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork.
• Report any significant changes in a client’s condition or environment to the manager or department director.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Able to relate well with clients, staff, and the public.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the position.
• Must be able to follow both verbal and written directions and have the ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Food Safety training, provided by USS.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.

• Must pass a criminal background check and screening.
