USS Has Your New Saturday Morning Lineup

Gone are the days of waking up on a Saturday morning and channel surfing to find the best cartoons on TV. Spend your newfound free time on Saturdays with US[S]!
Thanks to the overwhelming demand and positive feedback from our members, we have decided to continue our Saturday hours from 8:00am to 12:00pm through the end of 2024 (except 8/31 and 11/30) after a successful pilot program that started last fall. This expansion allows us to offer more opportunities and activities for members who may not be able to visit USS during the week.
At USS, our commitment to creating an engaging community for older adults remains steadfast. We are introducing new programs and activities to our schedule regularly, such as fitness classes, recreational opportunities, creative arts, card games, and much more. With our Saturday hours now a regular offering, we can expand our offerings even further.
We’re committed to keeping our members active and engaged! To achieve this, we’ve implemented several exciting developments for Saturday mornings:
- Expanded SAILL classes: SAILL (Springfield Area Institute for Lifelong Learning) classes have expanded to Saturday mornings! Now you can enjoy Retro Splash fitness classes and occasional seminars, offering more ways to stay active and engaged.
- New! USS Jammers on Saturdays: Get ready to move and groove with the USS Jammers program, our new addition to Saturday activities!
- Card games coming soon!
Whether you want to kick start your Saturday morning with a quick workout, play pickleball with friends, or unleash your creativity with an art project, USS has something for everyone. Our welcoming and inclusive community is the perfect place to socialize, learn new skills, and have fun.
If you are a Clark Countian 55+ seeking a supportive community, consider joining USS and starting your Saturday mornings with us. Our fitness and recreational activities will have you yelling “Yabba dabba doo!” like never before.
